This is how I describe my One Skein Secret Pal, Bev, of ComfyBev. Today I received a lovely package in the mail, with this beautifully knit scarf:
Click on the picture and you can see the adorable little snail pin she sent to hold it around my neck. On the right is a detail shot of the cool stitch pattern she used. And no, I'm not wearing nylons. My legs are just that white. Ick. But see how well it matches my outfit today? Fate. The yarn is local (to Bev, that is) and hand-dyed. Bev, you rock and it has been great being spoiled by you. Thank you thank you thank you!
And more thanks are in order - I've been PIFed!
Lavender Sheep PIFed me late last week with this BEEyuutiful merino/tencel that she spun herself, and several of her handmade lavender sachets. The sachets promptly went into my various WIP bags, and the yarn is probably going to live the life of the last skein she gave me: sitting on my shelf waiting for that just right project worthy of its beauty. These are the only skeins that I have ever had this problem with...they're just too nice.
