Hello everyone! Sorry for the long pause between posts. The last week was defined by Murphy's Law...
But I have another FO to present - and this one comes with a free pattern! Hot on the heels of the Bamboozled! Baby Cardy I set out to make another baby gift. I had a big 'ol skein of Inca Organic Cotton in my stash that I had meaning to use for a baby sweater this past year, and I thought it would be a great quick knit on size 9 needles. And indeed it was!

- Yarn: Inca Organic Cotton, 1 4oz. skein (approx. 155 yards).
- Needles: 24" circular size 5.5mm (US9) and 5.5mm crochet hook (USI)
- Pattern: my own - available for free here!
- Started and finished in about 2 days.
- Buttons - from the store (not on the site - sorry! email about them if you need info)
The skein from my stash was a huge 8 ouncer, and we sell them in the store in 4oz skeins, so I was crossing my fingers when I finished up and weighed both the sweater and the leftovers. Whew! Just made it in a 3.8oz yarn used! It would have really stank if people had to dig into about 4 yards of a 2nd skein to do this sweater.

Oh - and you can kind of tell in these pictures, but Mallory is pushing the size constraints for this little project - it's definitely for newborn to 3 months (she's 4 months now!).
In other project updates, I am frogging the Dollar and a Half Cardigan. I still love the sweater, but I have a mental block on this thing like nothing I've ever experienced! I can't continue! Plus, it is intended as a store model, and I don't think the pattern difficulty level is super-accessible. So sometime here in the next few weeks you'll see the Lambswool & Cashmere reappearing in the form of this.
I've also been working on my Dad's OSU Beaver socks. They were really supposed to be done for him to wear to the games this season, but my motivation to work on them is about as strong as the Beaver's offense (in other words - terrible!). I've almost got the first one done, and I feel like I completely lost my socks-in-fingering-weight-on-size-1-needles mojo! I used to crank these babies out and now I feel sooooo s l o w .
I had another baby present to knit, so I finally got to that Debbie Bliss Baby Bolero. I'm just finishing up the border now and should have FO pics later this week.
Last, but not least, I have done 2 more wedges on the Christmas Tree Skirt!! Yay! I had 2 done previously, so now I am at 4/11. Wish me luck, this thing needs to be done by Thanksgiving to be of any use this Christmas!

If I buy the yarn, do I get the baby, too? What an absolute cutie. I know I said that last time, but I just can't help it. (I have three boys, so...you know.)
