So here at KAH we've started a new feature - Yarn of the Month. This month? Painted Forest by Nashua Handknits. This is a variegated chunky 100% wool that we haven't really been sure what to do with until now:
The Painted Forest 2-Ball Ribbed Hat, availabe in Adult Medium (up top in Leopard) and Adult Large sizes (down below in Autumn) (see free pattern on the sidebar). I whipped up two of them, one in each size, and boy - let me tell you! Knitting a hat in under an hour and a half was a great break from the endless DK weight sweater! It's done on a size 13 circ at 2 sts to the inch - what could be easier???
So check out the Painted Forest, which is on sale this whole month for 25% off . . .
In Mallory new, I have another shot of her in handknit gifts...this is the Elizabeth Zimmerman lace baby jacket from the Knitter's Almanac, knit for her by my downstream SP8 pal, Meg. She's also sporting the yummy warm alpaca booty/socks knit for her by Julia, and perfect for this turn of cold weather we've been having. Thanks ladies!!!!!!
