I love to spin - I know many of you do, as well. And as my spinning skills progressed over time, I came to achieve lovely, even, fine, smooth singles. But I've reached an impasse, where those lovely, even yarns are all I can create. If you're in the same boat I am, this class is for you.
Meet the soft corespun yarns of Sarah Anderson. Sarah is known for her incredible techniques for spinning designer yarns of all kinds, and my favorite just might be the soft corespun yarns. If you get your hands on these beauties, you won't want to let go. They are light, fluffy, bouncy. In class you will use top, locks, and batts to create intriguing textures that you can leave as singles or ply together for a cozy and warm finished yarn.
If you've had the pleasure of spinning with Sarah, then you already know she is an excellent teacher, warm and encouraging, with a great sense of humor. Classes with Sarah are not to be missed! For more information about Sarah, and to register for this class or any of her other classes at the 2015 Columbia Gorge Fiber Festival, see our website.
