knot another hat: Eye Candy Wednesday

I think Eye Candy is usually on Friday, but I don't care. Here's a shot I took of the Hood River Valley this weekend . . .

I haven't done squat for knitting lately, so I'll give you some shots of the current status of both the Bubble and the Two Socks on Two Circs. Both have been at a standstill for the last few days. Well, that's not true - the socks have gotten more attention because they're portable and mindless. I've stopped lugging the Bubble to and from home, so nothing's been done on it in days. We got a ton of new stuff here at the store, so we've been busy entering it all in the system, labeling, shelving, yadda yadda yadda.

In other news, the yarn has started flowing in from Yvonne and I's request for yarn donations to the local Middle School. In case you haven't heard about it, a local middle school teacher has gotten approval to teach a knitting elective this term at the school, and they need all the help with supplies they can get. We set them up with needles, but it's up to each student to bring their own yarn, and not all of them can afford it. Anything we can donate will be much appreciate. You can check out Yvonne's blog for the details. Everyone who donates will be entered in the prize drawing (prize donations will be accepted, too!). The stuff below was generously donated by Teri and Cindy - thank you girls (I know both of you lurk around this blog - so comment already, why doncha!)

Thank you to everyone who sent their well-wishes for my birthday. My hubby threw a fantastic party and I got to hang out with so many great friends - especially some that I haven't seen in a while. And of course, very few pictures were taken. Here's a little photo collage of the 3 pictures I did manage to get (on top are Colleen and Alex with J and I - friends from grad school now living in Pullman, and on bottom are the Girls - Leah, Dana, Jayce and I - who have known each other since waaaayyy back when...)
