Many of you have emailed asking about my slip-stitch sock pattern, and it's really not so much a pattern as a little repeat I do. So, here it is, for your slippery enjoyment.
Take your favorite even-numbered sock recipe, and after the cuff, do as follows:
K 8 rnds
*sl 1, k1; repeat around
K 1 rnd
*k1, sl 1; repeat around
K 1 rnd
*sl 1, k1; repeat around
And repeat the whole sequence (including the 8 plain rnds) to your heart's content! If you're feeling motivated (and I happened to be on the Lucy socks) you can maintain the pattern over the instep stitches and top of the foot as you work past the heel toward the toe. Enjoy!
This looks great, thanks so much for the pattern!

Hello, Sarah
I've just used your slip-stitch pattern, slipping the stitches purlwise. I noticed that you don't specify knitwise or purlwise. The pattern looks OK the way I've done it, but I wondered what you had intended? (Slipping purlwise means that all the stitches are correctly oriented for the next round).
