If you were around KAH four years ago for the last Winter Olympics, you probably remember the exciting Knitting Winter Olympics that went along with them! If not - here's your opportunity to win Olympic Gold (AKA a $10 gift card to KAH)!
This is how it works:
Who: anyone who wants to take on a personal challenge can participate.
What: you must choose and commit to a knitting, crochet, or spinning project that is a personal challenge to you.
When: you must begin when the flame is lit during the 2010 Olympic Opening Ceremonies on February 12, 2010 and finish before the flame goes out at Closing Ceremonies on February 28. That's 16 days.
How: you must register your chosen "challenge" here at the store before 5pm PST on February 12. To register you may stop in and sign up, or leave a comment to this post with your project, name, and contact email. To win Gold (and collect your prize), you must bring your completed project to the store between Mar 2-5. Long distance web participants can email a picture of their project during the week following the Olympics to customerservice-AT-knotanotherhat-DOT-com.
Take the challenge! You can follow Team KAH's progress during the Olympics here on the KAH Blog. I'll post in a couple of days with my Olympic hopeful goals...Go Team KAH!
This is the official Team KAH button - feel free to add to your blog or webpage!
I would like to participate in the KAH Winter Knitting Olympics. I want to make the Vogue Knitted Hoodie. I need to order the yarn from you. Thanks,

Ouu, what kind of project are we supposed to do? Something bigger like a sweater? Sounds like fun, I'll share this with my new knitting group too!

I'd like to participate, crocheting a ripple lap blanket. I've just learned the basics this week, so it should be challenging. Thanks!

Hello. THis is a first for me. I'm somewhat new to knitting, and have so many scarves and a pair of socks currently on the needles. I'm going to "attempt" my best and make a Nashua Vest Pattern. Do I send a picture when I'm finished..sorry, super new to the knitting world. I've always been a papercrafter!!!

I would like to join the knitting olympics I have chosen a fine knit rib sweater for my husband which I feel is a challenge as it is only my second attempt at a sweater, I started knitting 6 months ago. My name is Laurie Stellato from Bradford Ontario

I'm going to be joining in! I only recently learned how to knit and can't do much but scarves so far. So my project will be a scarf - I'm trying a chunky knit wool, so will be different (and more challenging?) than the other few simple scarves I have made so far. Looking forward to the challenge!
