Sarah, what a nice post. It made me feel better. I put my overstocked yarn in wooden bowls and baskets around my living room. One time I saw that idea in fancy department store (maybe decorator was a knitter? ;))

One use for partially used skeins with no labels is donating them to schools. I know the fourth graders at Mid Valley do weaving projects as part of their study on Native Americans and I teach my first graders to finger knit as a 'fidget' strategy!
